Funeral service for Adelina Krebs, 85, Roscoe, SD will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 25, 2012 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Roscoe. Pastor Winfried Schroeder officiating. Burial in Morningside Cemetery, Roscoe. Adelina died Thursday, June 21, at Westwood Assisted Living, Roscoe.

Visitation is 2-4 p.m., Sunday, June 24 at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., Aberdeen.

Adelina Guthmiller was born on January 21, 1927 at Hillsview, SD to Fred and Fredricka (Stickelmeyer) Guthmiller. She grew up on a farm near Hillsview and attended country school. Adelina married Oscar G. Krebs on October 26, 1947 at Hosmer, SD. They made their home in Hosmer until 1950 when they moved to Igloo, SD where her husband worked for the Black Hills Army Depot. In 1963, the family moved to Hot Springs until 1966 when they moved to Concord, CA where her husband worked for Concord Naval Weapons Station. In July, 1978 they moved to Roscoe, SD. Adelina moved into Westwood Assisted Living in March of 2008. Oscar died on November 1, 2008.

Adelina was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was active in the church choir and Ladies Aide. She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, National Association of Retired Federal Employees Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary. Adelina was also a member of the Roscoe Senior Citizens Center.

Grateful for having shared Adelina's life are three sons, Dann (Lynnette) Krebs, Pittsburg, CA, Steven Krebs, Stone Mountain, GA, and Jim (Suzanne) Krebs, Goshen, MA, five daughters, June (Peter) Thomas, Gonzales, LA, Betty (James) Marrs, Concord, CA, Mary (Richard) Borem, Fairfield, CA, Sandra (John) Vogt, Pensacola, FL, and Ruth (Dennis) McNamara, Concord, CA, brother, Edward (Barbara) Guthmiller, Warrenton, MO, sisters-in-laws, Edna, Levinena and Lorraine Guthmiller, fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Adelina was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, Joanne Whitaker, grandson John Borem, brothers Edwin, Otto, George, Eugene and Allen Guthmiller, and sisters Anna, Violet and Frieda Guthmiller.

The family prefers memorials to the American Cancer Society or St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Roscoe.
